About the Course
Welcome to Foundations of Sound Facilitation, an immersive three-day training created by SEM Wellness for those who feel called to explore the art of sound baths and learn how to confidently create intentional, grounded sound experiences for others.
This training begins with experience—not theory.
Before learning how to facilitate, you will first become the receiver. Through guided sound experiences, hands-on exploration, and intentional practice, you will learn to listen to sound through your own body and develop an understanding of how different instruments, rhythms, tones, silence, and presence can shape an experience.
Our approach brings together sound, mindfulness, nervous system awareness, Reiki principles, grounding practices, and intentional space-holding. Rather than focusing on promises of specific frequencies or guaranteed "healing," this training teaches you how to create a safe environment where people can slow down, become present, listen inward, and reconnect with themselves.
What You'll Explore
Day One — Receive & Discover
Experience a guided sound bath and become familiar with the instruments through listening and receiving. You'll explore how sound affects your awareness, body, emotions, and sense of presence before beginning your own hands-on practice.
Day Two — Learn & Practice
Learn foundational techniques for playing sound instruments, creating transitions, working with volume and rhythm, incorporating silence, and developing an intentional flow. You'll begin practicing how to hold space and guide others through a sound experience.
Day Three — Facilitate & Integrate
Bring everything together through guided practice. You'll learn how to prepare a space, open and close a session, create an intentional sound journey, work with groups, maintain appropriate boundaries, and facilitate with confidence and presence.

This Training Is For You If...
You are a wellness practitioner, Reiki practitioner, yoga teacher, meditation guide, creative, facilitator, or simply someone who feels called to work with sound.
You don't need to be a musician.
You don't need previous experience with sound bowls.
You simply need curiosity, an open mind, and a willingness to practice.
Our Philosophy
Sound is the instrument.Presence is the medicine.Safety is the foundation.
We believe a powerful sound experience isn't created by the instrument alone. It is created through the relationship between sound, intention, presence, environment, and the person receiving it.
This training invites you to move beyond simply playing instruments and begin learning how to hold an experience.
What You'll Leave With
By the end of the 9-hour training, you'll have foundational knowledge, hands-on experience, and a framework for creating your own intentional sound bath experiences.
You'll also receive a Certificate of Completion from SEM Wellness recognizing your participation in the Foundations of Sound Facilitation training.
Come ready to listen. Come ready to receive. Come ready to find your own voice through sound.
